Temporary residence permit in the Republic of Lithuania is issued to the foreigner who is not a citizen of European Union State’s Member. It is usually issued for one year, but may be issued for a shorter period of time, also.
The most common request for a temporary residence permit is for the following reasons:
- In a case of wedding of the family
- Person is going to work
- Person intends to engage in lawful activities (to set up his own company)
- Person intends to learn
Our staff will help to arrange all the necessary documents in order you will obtain a temporary residence permit (TRP) in Lithuania. We prepare the documents within 2-3 weeks. Temporary residence permit lasts about 3-4 months but not longer than 6 months. You can submit documents on the TRP in the migration department of Lithuania or in your country’s Lithuania’s embassy.
Our staff will go with you to the immigration department if you intend to submit documents in Lithuania. Or we will send documents by mail and then you can give them to the Lithuanian embassy in your country.
Foreigner's request to extend a temporary residence permit is examined no later than during two months from the date of the request. It should be requested at least two months before the end of expiration date on this temporary residence permit, but no earlier than before four months of the end of expiration date of this permit.
